Bigen Africa’s 2015 Golf Day raises R1million toward charity

The Annual Bigen Africa Fundraising Golf Day took place on 13 August 2015 at the Scenic Serengeti Golf Estate in Kempton Park, Johannesburg.  One million rand was raised in aid of several deserving social upliftment organisations across the continent of Africa.

Bigen Africa COO Anton Boshoff and CFO Sulette van Graan presented cheques to the cumulative value of R1million which was raised as part of Bigen Africa’s drive of “doing good while doing business” to deserving charities, religious institutions and individuals on the African continent.


 

Bigen Africa hosts third annual partnership conference

The third annual Bigen Africa partnership conference was held in June 2015 at the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria East. The aptly themed “Invented in Africa” conference saw a host of foreign delegates and presenters in attendance. The conference serves to further enforce Bigen Africa’s focus on strategic partnerships to boost infrastructure development on the  continent of Africa.




Bigen Africa launches office in West Africa

On 15 April 2015, Bigen Africa strengthened its growing African footprint by opening an office in Accra, Ghana.
The opening ceremony which was attended by a host of esteemed guests included the South African high commissioner to Ghana HE Ms L Xingwana and the Ghanaian minister of public, private partnership, the Honorable Rashid Pelpuo.
During her address to the delegates, Ms Xingwana congratulated Bigen Africa in its attempts to provide infrastructure development solutions to the Africa continent. She noted that companies such as Bigen Africa form a key component of successful South African- Ghanaian interaction.



 

CAPTAINS OF INDUSTRY function 25 November 2014

Bigen Africa hosted its maiden “Captains of Industry” Awards evening on Tuesday, 25 November 2014. The purpose of the event, held at the Bigen Africa head office in Pretoria, Gauteng, was to give tribute to clients, business partners and suppliers, all of whom play a key role in helping to realise the company’s vision of developing sustainable infrastructure that will improve the quality of life of all.

The highlight of the evening’s programme was the handover of awards in six categories to acknowledge specific contributions of the winning organisations. In celebrating productive relationships with these and other companies, Bigen Africa chose to focus on “partnerships”, a vital element of the company’s business plan, as the main theme of the event.
