Our socio-economic and human capital initiatives support our five pillar Empowerment and Socio-economic Development Programme:
Bigen Africa is sensitive to the needs and concerns of employees, clients, communities and stakeholders who contribute to commercial success and society in general. We are committed to ‘Doing good, while doing business.’ Human Capital Development is the key focus of our CSI programme.
Bigen Africa believes the business of infrastructure development is more than winning contracts. That is why we have created the Intuthuko Foundation – this is our platform for doing good, while doing business. The Intuthuko Foundation acts as a facilitator and mobiliser (gearing and matching) of funds for integrated development projects. It is also a catalyst for creating socio-economic investment opportunities for corporates through coordinating strategic partnerships.
The foundation embraces the ‘people first’ (Batho Pele) principles in line with the Bill of Rights as enshrined by the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. Through the Intuthuko Foundation we strive to build a legacy of social investment communities. We continually inject funds and man hours into social and community development projects through a strategically planned and executed programme.
